SPECS
CHUTE MATERIAL
Chutes handling hotel, hospital or general household linen
should be made of not lighter than 16 ga. aluminized steel
or stainless steel.
INTAKES
Typical 18" wide x 18" high, hand operated intake doors,
self closing, self latching, side hinged with 1-1/2 hour
'UL' label; 1700 swing, maximum 30-minute, 2500 F
temperature rise. Entire door (front and back panels) in
stainless steel finish.

DISCHARGE
For built in wall discharge of hopper type, a self closing,
top hinged, 1-1/2 hour 'UL' label door is furnished with
165° F fusible link. (Drain is optional). For direct
discharge into receptacle use standard trash chute
discharge.
VENT
Full diameter vent of same gauge as chute extending minimum
of 3 feet (per NFPA) above roof with metal safety cap.
FLOOR FRAMES
Standard floor frames are 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" x 3/16" steel
angle 12" longer than the chute diameter.
ACCESSORIES
1/2" NPT sprinkler and 3/4" NPT flushing heads above top
intake. Additional 1/2" sprinkler heads at alternate intakes
and at first intake as required by NFPA code.
CHUTE CONSTRUCTION
Chutes shall be fully factory assembled with all joints
welded. There shall be a minimum of one expansion joint per
floor and a flush interior assembled without bolts, rivets
or clips. The intake door and frame shall be adjustable and
securely fastened to the intake throats that are formed as
an integral part of the chute section. Chute throat shall
have a standard dimension of 10". Larger throats built to
accommodate special job conditions. Chute shall be straight
and plumb with no offset.

OPTIONS
SOUND INSULATION: To reduce noise... factory
sprayed on sound coating and Korfund isolator pads.
ELECTRIC INTERLOCK: When one intake is in use,
electric interlock prevents other doors from being opened.
FLOOR RETAINER FLANGES: 22 gauge galvanized sheet
with flange under deck at penetration for retainage of fire stop
material.

SANITIZING UNITS: May be located in chute
above top intake. Cleans and disinfects the chute interior by
manually activation. |

CHUTES MAID: Utilizes a two cycle automatic
flushing system that cleans and disinfects the chute with a push of
a button.
PASS THRU DOOR: Located in the discharge room
wall. Available in door sizes listed, furnished thru-wall liner.
ACCESS DOORS: A stainless steel door (12"x12") is
standard with "B" Label construction. Custom doors also available.
VENT OPTIONS: Bird screen and metal explosion
caps are available upon request. |

drawing specifications. Expansion joints are provided permitting
light variations in heights. These chutes are made of standard 16
gauge impact and corrosion resistance aluminized steel. Stainless
steel available upon request.

hinged, 11⁄2 hour, 250°, U.L. "B" label. New York City MEA "B"
labeled doors meet the standard of New York City Material and
Equipment Acceptance Division. Finish of # 304 nickel bearing
stainless steel # 3 finish.

Trash Chute Discharge Door
For open end discharge requirements, a rolling incline "B" label
construction door, self-closing with fusible link. When the 165°
fusible link is released by excessive heat, gravity causes the door
to roll shut.
